OD on Trustpilot

OMG...anyone seen this... https://uk.trustpilot.com/review/www.ownersdirect.co.uk Says it all.... We will still renew as it does bring in enquiries and bookings but it is going downhill. Not met anyone who likes or understands the calendar. The only good thing about the new site is that you can have...

Yup, am completely locked out as every time I log in it asks for me to update my bank account, and when I do, it takes me back to the same screen again and asks me to update my details... Spoke to them this morning and it is a known glitch that they are hoping to get sorted in the next 24-48 hours b...

Get the impression Owners Direct are getting desperate!

Dear all, I've twice in the past week got emails from Owners Direct offering me a £100 referral bonus (btw- pm me if you want to be referred, this gives you £100 off as well). This is up from their what they used to do which was £50. Plus the last time I asked about this in April I was told that the...

Phew, just checked mine and it is still set to their 'strict' policy, but this is still far too late for my standard one, which is 6 weeks. But as I've never had a guest book through airbnb I'm not too worried at the moment.

Hi Casscat, I can't remember so I probably just chose a blank form and added items. You can only have 10 items on a form before you have to upgrade and pay, but I managed to squeeze everything into that. I've not used it yet as not received a booking this week, but will report back to this thread if...

New year booked ages ago but barely a nibble for Xmas. Last year out was booked by returning guests but they'll not be back because of ill health. Agree that there's plenty of time and not going to panic and reduce price. Decided when we first started that unless it was to fill awkward gaps in the c...

Thanks Essar. That sounds really useful. I'll have a look as doing the form each time is a complete pain.

Really appreciate all the advice from everyone. This is only or second year and am learning all the time, especially from you all

Contracts? Online agreements or paper-based

Hi Everyone, We have a fairly standard rental contract that I email to all guests and get them to sign and return to me, either by email or post. It is a bit of a faff and can be problematic for last minute rentals (not that I've had many of those, but it happens). So, I'm wondering if I could move ...

Owners Direct costs?

Has anyone managed to find a clear table of the costs of various levels of subscription for Owners Direct? I have searched in vain for quite a long time and am still no clearer how much each level costs, what it costs to advertise an additional property, or what it costs for any other services that ...

Dear all, I have found recently that when I look at the review in my owner dashboard to click and make a comment, the review is listed as by 'anonymous' but when it actually gets posted, the reviewer's name is included. Have you looked at the review once it's been posted to see if the name has been ...

Dear All, Thanks for all your comments - helpful as always. Not sure what we will do as there are lot of other properties on the site and most don't have a log burner, so it will definitely increase our attractiveness to potential guests. However, we currently don't have a chimney and would need to ...

Log burners?

Dear all, I seem to recall that there was a thread about this a while ago but haven't been able to find it again, so thought I'd post... Is it worth installing a log burner? We have an electric stove that has reasonably realistic flames, but time and again I see people who are looking for a cottage ...
