dogs in restaurants in Ireland

Post by esentziak »

Hello

Would somebody know if it is actually against health and safety regulations to bring a dog into a restaurant/pub/cafe in Ireland ?

Or is it left up to each proprietor ?

We are having second thoughts about taking our dog with us this summer ! having lived in France for the last six years, we had totally forgotten about that.

Thanks for replies.

We're often allowed in the bar area of pubs in the UK with our dog, but rarely in restaurants. Sister-in-law has regularlyy taken her dog to ireland, but can't ask her the situation as she is sailng on the Med somewhere this week.

We were in Ireland last week with our dog but didn't see any dog friendly restaurants.
It is better to remain quiet and have one think you are stupid, than to open your mouth and remove all doubt....

The biggest mistake we make in life is thinking we have time.

Thanks; does not look too good.

In France, it is assumed that you can take your dog, unless you can't (if you see what I mean) !

Bit of a nonsense as we are going for a month to see the grand-son.
