In Croatia the first question would be.. Are the papers clean :-) Not sure about France.

I was told recently that they have changed the rules so its more difficult to purchase property in France? Is this the case. Just curious what's changed to make it more difficult for foreigners to purchase in France. Or was the person who mentioned this wrong?

Not more difficult just more expensive when you come to sell the property, and the tax you pay on the rental income is now more.
