Hmm... do they have a site en anglais? I'd be nervous about posting on a french-only site that I'd get clients who don't speak English, and English is what our contract and all house info is written in, etc...

...by the way, what do you mean by "it works"? How much business do you get from it? I know it's free so it doesn't really matter, but... just curious.

Sorry it's in French only ( this sounding like I have something to do with the site I don't! ) as for results, 10 encouraging enquiries this week!

Wow -- well, we don't get any inquiries right now from the french-speaking market, so this could get interesting (I signed up)!

Thanks for the heads-up!

I'll let you know. :)

Interestingly they don't seem to want to link to my site, which is probably because it's in English... great, now I need to make a French version of the site!

There is no such thing as a free lunch! I just received an e-mail from A-gites saying they now want to charge because of the vast amount new people signing up..............so it seems I may have shot myself in the foot by giving you lot the heads up.

And get this, they want a whopping 3.60Euros for 12 months advertising!!

Hi Christine,

I too miss Seymour's lingering gaze! But the poor lad needed a holiday so he's off on a once-in-a-lifetime cruise on the liner The Aurora, so he should be mid-Carribean by now.

He put Georgey boy, his cousin, in charge while he is away, but I have had to sack him because he could not find Europe on the map.

So now Seymour's son is at the reins, please let me introduce Phillip Mylo Butts ( or Phill My as we call him for short)
Cheers

Aww, I can't see Phill My nearly as well as I could see Seymour.

But I guess I can't critique anyone's avatar until I have one of my own, mm?

...hm, I haven't gotten an e-mail from a-gites yet. But I did slap together a French version of my website ( www.experienceburgundy.com/fr ). I'm sure the mostly-computer-done translation is just awful... at some point I'll improve it.

E3.60 per year?!?!?! Greedy bastards. ;p
