HomeAway has become the dinosaur of the rental listing websites with an outdated and cumbersome booking engine.
Got an inquiry, made an offer, was asked to amend the offer. Turns out, I can't change the offer once made. So, I change the public rate to match my offer. Turns out, the rate that customers see doesn't change while I can see the new rate on my side.
After a few hours, the public rate changes and the customer can make another booking request.
But I can't accept the booking: "It looks like there was an error. We were notified of it, but in the meantime try that one more time"
Meanwhile the clock ticks...
I wonder why customers are still booking through HA
