Would be grateful for some advice! We have a 6m X 4m pool in Spain, which we have never covered. Now with the impending water shortages, we feel we need to have a cover to help with evaporation. We also live on the side of a steep hill facing the sea, so have quite strong winds throughout the summer and the pool level needs to be constantly topped up. We are always looking for ways to reduce our water consumption anyway and it has been very worrying how little rain has fallen since September.
We have been advised by the local pool shop that it would be best to have a white solar cover as it would also extend the swimming time (the pool is unheated). However, I am worried that it would soon look dirty and may discolour quicker. Does anyone have any experience with a white cover? Would be most grateful for your help!
