Hi All, :D

Youve all near enough covered everything I was going to say[surely not  ] yep...
but me being me Im still going to rattle on......

Alan and all the others were right I take only Sat-Sat from May-Oct....Some arrive Sunday Leave Friday which is fine but I still charge the full week....

August should always go so definitely stick out then...
Partridge Im glad its worked out...
Dont forget its only January...
Ive just had one enq from Thurs-Sunday for May but I didnt want to do it.....
someone has just booked both houses for 2 weeks so I would have missed out on that...
[passed it to Meiska and hopefully she will make use of it]

Of course its up to the individual and it is hard when youre starting out...You just learn as you go along...
Ive just let a couple of weeks go in April really reasonably as Im not always booked then...
You do what your happy with....

I do wonder though if people who arent getting many
Bookings/ Enquiries are Advertising enough....
I know Im on a Load of Websites[probably too many] but Im sure thats one of the reasons I get so many enq/bookings....You cant sit back and think that someone will knock on your door to enquire...

Going to Lose some next year as Im also getting quite a few rebookers...
but if your starting up I really think you need to
'bite the bullet' and pay for a lot of sites .
You only need a couple of bookings and they will pay for themselves and if those people then rebook year after year what an investment!!
Youll then also see what sites work for you and what dont..
Free sites are knocked but Ive had a couple of Bookings from them as well

Hope everybody does well 2007..
[Colette you are quite near me in Torre I will pm you maybe I can pass a few to you  ]

ps see how much i can still find to rattle on about even though I said youd said it all

Hi Ros,

Or should I say early bird :D

Although I'm not an owner yet, my super lucky numbers didn't
come up on the lottery again last night (10 years running now :? )

I've a little experience renting two chalets nr Bournemouth
for my parents. This was before "the Net" so all advertising was cards in P.O.'s,
local paper and word of mouth. The results were almost a straight line graph,
the more you were "out there" the more enquiries and bookings I got.

Selling is a numbers game.

I know its more scientific these days, tracking traffic to your website etc...,
but when you're starting out the more advertising the better.
Once you get established and have rebookers then I'd get more selective in listings.

Just my HMO.
Cheers Ian

Hi Ian...
Yes I am an early bird[Im also an early bed bird][that doesnt sound quite right  ]

Thats exactly how I feel...Dont ask me about all this clicks and stuff as I havent a clue...I know I should :?
I just advertise with loads of sites and so far its worked...Its abit of a dilemma now though as
A lot of them are about the same bookings wise so its deciding on which to keep...
When you get special offers from the likes of HLets and H Lettings as we have at the moment it helps to make a decision.....

actually youre up early for a Sunday as well..have a good one

Not much option really :!:
No. 1 grandson stayed over. I woke up 6:30ish with a small
finger in my left nostril and a little voice asking what times
breakfast :?: :) :)
Cheers

Thank you soooo much guys for not letting me panic, guess what, I just got the 'in between' week booked. Can't believe it, I have taken 3 bookings this week, unheard of for little ol' me  Now I'm left with the last 2 weeks of August, which didn't go until last minute last year, now I'll see if Owners Direct can do better but so far DEFINITELY better than HR.
Don't waste energy on things you can't change.
