Is my operating system faulty?

The place to discuss anything to do with computers, software, hardware, no matter how basic or technical. We all use this stuff, but we don't always understand it!

Hi

I use :

Spybot : www.spybot.info

AVG anti virus : www.grisoft.com

Adaware : www.lavasoftusa.com/products/ad_aware_free.php

They all do different things. All are free.

I've had no problems over the last 6 years, despite being more active than most on the web.

You can catch up on security issues here :

www.mercury.org.uk/page2.htm

It comes highly recommended by the original Dr Keyboard (Sunday Times, etc) here : http://www.drkeyboard.net/drk

I used to use Norton, but it screwed up my machine because I work in several different languages. I had to rewrite the register to eliminate it. It also allowed me to accept the only virus that damaged my machine (my current set up has found many more but not allowed them to cause any problems).
