Hi
I came across this site : http://fightback.netfirms.com
Could it take off ?
Peter
An interesting concept ?
I'll have a good look later. Meanwhile this site was featured on BBC techie programme yesterday. http://www.bugmenot.com/ It has registration data for sites to save you putting your own details in. I have email addresses I use to sign up but this seems like it would save you the tedious process if you just want to view a news article or the like.
The easiest way to avoid spam is to set up one or more free webmail accounts inlcuding one for your rental like villagrande@hotmail.com. Don't configure your outlook express mail to receive these emails so they stay on the webmail server. You can see at a glance all the spam coming into the webmail and delete them all with one click.
Never reply to a spam email or you will be inundated
Never list your private email address on any websites, directories or give out your real home address unless it's a secure server for online payments
I've had a private email address for 4 years for friends, family and some work related contacts and get less than 10 spam emails per week
