Should a bedroom have a dressing table?

Not wishing to confuse matters but there is of course the alternative "vanitory" as used by estate agents in the UK to "posh up" bathroom descriptions

Oh yeah - I'd see a dressing table as a nice to have in a second bedroom, but we do get the odd guest comment as we don't have one.
