Hello to all you experienced rental owners.
We are in the middle of refurbishing our two bedroom apartment in central London and will be renting it out as a holiday rental. I expect it will be ready to advertise by 1st July, not sure how many summer bookings we will pick up at this late stage but I think London has an all year round market. At least I hope it has.
I will be doing the changeovers myself and am a bit nervous about the whole thing. I have worked in the hotel industry all my life but this feels so different.
You all make it look so easy!
Have a good bank holiday weekend

Always remember the image of the swan - on the surface calm and serene, underneath paddling away like fury.Londoner wrote:You all make it look so easy!

And further to Mols' thoughts....
(well most of us do)
We also remember the first year, when it wasn't !Londoner wrote:You all make it look so easy!

Oh No! Competition! Welcome to LMH.
You will not regret it. London has plenty of tourists and you should get bookings all year round.
I think you will enquiriies as soon as you start listing - I could sell my summer dates 10 times over.
Good luck.

Thank you for the kind welcome.
I am finding the whole thing a bit daunting if I am honest. I have nearly chickened out and just rented the place out full time.It wasn't helped by the fact that somebody posted a "two bedroom flat wanted to rent in this area" notice through my door the other day.
I don't know why I am so nervous!
I just want everything to be right and worry that my guests will be disappointed with the place. In my heart I know they won't because we are refurbishing to a high standard, too high my husband says!
Thanks Nightowl, it is reassuring to know that they are plenty of enquiries.
I am sure I will have plenty of questions along the way.
Thank you
