I am currently only using http://www.holidaylettings.co.uk/ to advertise and we have had over 215 people view the page but only 2 enquires.
this is the link to our page http://www.holidaylettings.co.uk/homedi ... force=true
any advice would be amazing thanks in advance

Have had a look at your listing. You have a nice shiny new property, but the photos are very blank. An empty kitchen for example, could look far more interesting with some bread and wine on the bench, or an empty table could be better with a bunch of flowers on it .Plain white beds may look better with a coloured throw on them. Try and look at the ad from a guests point of view, and decided whether you would book or not.

Agreed that there is a bit too much information on there with typos and I certainly wouldn't mention the smoking and CCTV in your description. I would interpret that to mean that its not safe with possibly fag ends on the balcony.
I think there is a thread on here somewhere that has helpful hints on how to write a better description. I'll post it when I find it!
Anyway, good luck. I hope you get some bookings!
Here it is!

Probably, but that is what I think most renters would want anyway. I sure you will find more tenants looking for non smoking apartments. You can always mention that 'smoking is allowed on the balcony only'. Sounds like you don't want them to smoke in the apartment anyway.Shug wrote:Would this not put people off who smoke tho ?
Aahh.. I just noticed 'Smokers welcome' on your ad. That would certainly put me off.

I know it's not very helpful as you have already explained that you are not on site to take new photos but I think unfortunately that the photos are your biggest problem. The outdoor photos look very built up but then when I read further on I find that you are walking distance to beautiful beaches. Can someone in Turkey (perhaps the person who looks after your apartment?) provide you with a beach photo that you can use? Then you can say, this is the beach 10 mins walk away. When you think of travel agents' brochures they are full of bright blue seas and pools and beautiful sunsets, I'd be inclined to drop the Bar/Restaurant photo for a seaside one.
We are due to visit our own apartment in a couple of weeks time and one of the jobs on the to do list is take new photos, we have been hampered by visiting in off season times when the light isn't at it's best and travelling handluggage only, not wanting to fill a suitcase with the camera gear but it must be done this time!
All the best and hope you can get something sorted out and the bookings start flooding in.
