reservation contracts

Post by aasta »

Hello Everyone...as we hope to open by Christmas (still thinking positively!!) we are wondering what sort of contract agreement you use when accepting deposits....I realize that some of you do not take deposits...but we have been giving this lots of thought and looking at a multitude of other B&B sites (for some reason many are not on this forum) and think that deposits are in order...
Feedback appreciated...thanks...aasta

PS and what sort of special insurance do you carry?

We use what the local law says we can use. It is a great back up for when the odd (in numbers not in personality) guest wants to have money back.
Recently we had a person wanting her CC payment returned because she cancelled her vacation. The bank phoned us and we went there with the listing book with the law. The issue was solved immediately no arguments.
So does your local tourism office have the same, and if so are you registered with them?
Never try to out-stubborn your guests.
