finally open for guests

Post by aasta »

After a very hectic December (-everything seemed to go wrong from corroded water pipes to defunct water heaters-) we managed to open for our first group of 7 guests Christmas Eve. We worked until the last second and then attempted not to show burnout!!! Our guests left after 8 nights and wrote positive comments in the guestbook.
Now I am placing adverts, Homelidays, BedandBreakfast.com, Justbedand breakfast.net. Tripadvisor seems very costly - is it worth the hefty fee?
Happy New Year to all of you and Happy Innkeeping!!! we appreciate the advise and feedback you have given us over the past 18 months!!! regards, aasta

We started in Aug and just came though our First Christmas and New Year, I have great respect for those who have been doing it for years.

Well done and yes, it does get easier... but mostly because I have a detailed check list to make sure I don't forget any part of the cleaning and preparation routine!

Best wishes for 2011. 8)
