Just thought I'd give this a quick mention for the smart phone users of the forum...
It's an app (iPhone, Android, PC) that lets you send low-cost texts using your data connection. For me to text Cyprus, the cost is 1.33p per text (plus a small amount of data ~ which is included in my contract).
