Keyboard shortcuts for your Mac (for GG)

Following on from the pool temperatures thread, wherein I found the shortcut to this little beauty ººººººº, symbol for degrees, I then found this site which is 100 shortcuts to create symbols. I particularly like Alt 8 which gives you a • bullet point.

On that site, if using a European keyboard, read Alt where it says Option.

There's no smiley for smug, but there is an App.....

These two I use quite often:

Take screenshot of the entire screen - Cmd-Shift-3
Take screenshot of a selected area - Cmd-Shift-4 and Drag over desired area.

And to delete to the right of your cursor - Function(fn)-Delete
Or to delete entire word from the left of the cursor - Alt-Delete

Oooh - how cool is that? Just tried it and it captured both my monitors simultaneously. Don't think Grab can do that? Grab does give you a delay option though.

You speak for yourself Enid! I suffered many years of Windows, dating back to its inception, and I think everybody else should suffer as well. So I'm keeping very quiet about my switch to Mac......
