For little ones: A ride on a train or bus.
Just did this in U.K. with granddaughters age 2 and 3 years. Their mother (my daughter) took us to a station 5 miles or so away. We (little ones and I ) caught the train and were met at our home station. The children loved it, they had not been on a train before!

Nemo wrote: I just googled for Norfolk and lo and behold, an article has been published just over 3 hours ago today, listing 25 things to do in Norfolk to beat the rain. Thanks - that's my facebook update sorted.
And how could anyone resist that list, Nemo, with idea like this one:
Highlights in Yarmouth include the rays, seahorses, the Finding Nemo tank and the octopus who enjoys playing with an oversized hamster ball.
You've been hiding your light under a bushel.

Never try to out-stubborn your guests.
