Looks like Florida is in line to get its first major hurricane of the season if predictions as to Isaac's path hold true. We are heading out on Thursday next, high winds permitting.
Hopefully the predicted course (landfall Miami and then right up the middle of the state through Orlando) are wrong or, at least, damage and injury is at a minimum.
Fingers, toes, eyeballs everything crossed please folks!!!
Pete

Some computer models showed Isaac shifting slightly to the west and eventually moving parallel to Florida's western coastline which will have it hitting the Tampa area more but some experts say Tampa had a 9 percent chance of getting hit with tropical storm-force winds for a 24-hour period ending Monday so who really knows .Having been through 2004 and the 4 that hit the center of the state then I will watch with interest and fingers crossed .

We're at our villa at the moment and although it's been overcast today it's calm. No wind to speak of but we're inland in Orlando.
We'll see what the next couple of days bring but I don't think it's going to be too bad. We've been here before during 2 hurricanes but have been lucky for the last 3 years when there's been none.
