This thread has popped up on TA. I normally ignore one time posters with complaints, hence I did not give a link before as it slipped off my radar. However it seems that the UK government has also issued a warning about tyre slashing attacks in Spain.

casasantoestevo, thanks for the timely and thought-provoking link which I've passed to our friend to help with her decision.

It would not stop me, but I would be just that bit more alert. ( yer I know the old saying Britain needs alerts).
Hope she has a great trip.

The good old UK gov issues an alert at the drop of every hat, so that no-one can say they weren't warned.

This is of course useful, and it's very very important to be street-wise, wherever you are in the world.

But I do hope this doesn't put her off, and that she has a wonderful and enriching trip. The world is chock a block full of kind and wonderful strangers.
