Wonderful photography as you've said, but agree with those who feel it's a bit OTT; love the kitchen and bathroom, and the OKA chairs (£845 ea) just about work, even though they are the wrong period for the cottage - but don't go for the Laura Ashley style of glitz in terms of cut glass/silver mirrors and shiny fabrics, and as a holiday maker, I wouldn't choose to pay serious money for it.

I think the glitzy style is known as "chateau chic"

Chocolate Box and pretty but not my style and frankly I'd be terrified of spilling my Italian espresso over the carpet!

I'm just not five star material! 3 star is my place!!

I once stayed in a 4-bed property which was £2,500 per night, with a minimum stay of three nights.

I can imagine paying that for really top-notch ski or beach but Dartmoor!

Dartmoor?

It was in Scotland, on one of the islands...

Actually... I could! And do get some from various contributors.

I have to turn down quite a few "opportunities" but am now farming them out more and more, to people who contribute to the blog...
