Water softeners

Post by harcourtv57 »

Is there anyone who has fitted a water softener/decalcifier in their property? We need to fit one in our apartment in Mallorca, so any advice on models/types etc gratefully received. Also from the online research I have done they seem to be cheaper in the UK?

Thanks

The water softener we have here at home (we're in the US) is a Kinetico brand, it is non electric and doesn't generally use as much salt as a traditional water softener does (at least thats what the ad says!)

How hard is your water?
In addition to installation the expense of re-pumping the property is going to be high.
Personally I would stick with a brand that you can purchase locally. Then you can have it repaired locally when the times come.
Never try to out-stubborn your guests.
