Gosh that is a shock. Sympathies to her family.apexblue wrote:Very sad news.
I read today that Margaret passed away this week.
She was always a very characterful poster and I know she loved her lifestyle and guests.
RIP Margaret.
Thanks for posting apex.

RIP Margaret and many condolences to Martin and the rest of the family.
I had huge respect for Margaret and despite the many differences in opinion we had in how to run rental accommodation, we ended up on very good terms.
I was flattered when she told me that my place was on her list of LMH places to visit. Sadly due to her illness she never made it here and I never had the pleasure of meeting her in person but she was passionate about everything she did, very generous with her advice to other owners and one of the most professional rental home owners I've ever come across.

I missed this thread the first time round, so reading the sad news of Margaret's passing is a huge shock. Even though we didn't always agree, I had much respect for Margaret's strong opinions and professionalism. I remember when I first built my rental website and published it on here, I was feeling the warm glow of self-satisfaction when Margaret, with a few pithy words, made me see that I still had a long way to go.
We talked about my visiting her organisation to take publicity photos but, for one reason or another, it didn't happen. Which is a great regret, I would have loved to have met her and seen her show at first hand - she was an true inspiration (like others on this forum) to me.
