I'm in the UK at the moment having travelled on the first direct flight out this year. It is Ryanair.
I have just received an information email for my flight Monday and it seems like they are cracking down on the carnage that often happens on their flights (to here anyway).
Basically they are saying that anyone displaying drunken or anti social behaviour prior to boarding won't be allowed on the flight. They are also saying that NO alcohol will be allowed to be carried on to the flight, any bottles bought must be packed away in the carry on luggage and will then be tagged and put in the hold.
Should any bottles be in plastic bags then they will be disposed off.
They will be checking all hand lugagge prior to boarding.
This is very welcome as I know for a fact some guests have been put off returning to Ibiza because of the drunken and anti social behaviour on the flights. Many have no choice of carriers and only have ryanair.
Thank god they have finally taken action.

I nearly always fly Ryanair to Malaga and I've never encountered any rowdy behaviour thank goodness. However I'm pleased to see Ryanair take a firm stand on this issue because there are some truly selfish arses out there who think they have a right to inflict themselves on a plane full of travellers with no regard whatsoever for even basic courtesy.
