Well, it got up to 26 here today in the end, it was much hotter in the sun of course but there was still that pesky breeze that kept the temp down. The pool only got up to 22 but I girded my loins and took the plunge and it was....fab ! This water temp is the same as we normally get in early October but it felt a whole lot better once I was in- yay !! :lol:

Provence: overcast; cold; socks and cardigan
Pool: 20 degrees
Current freeloaders: probably not coming back next year 8)

I feel a little better now if the South of France is also chilly - one of the advantages (and there aren't many weatherwise) of living north of the Loire is that people don't necessarily expect good weather for their holiday!
