How much should taxe fonciere increase after adding a pool?

Does anyone know if I am being asked to pay a reasonable amount for my taxe fonciere? Last year's bill was 282 euros. We now have an 8 x 4 metre swimming pool which was in use from mid-July 2005 and the new bill for 2006 is 440 euros. It seems a bit steep to me.

Five years ago we installed a pool 8x4 and our bill increased by 200 euros.
Have just added a conservatory and am waiting to see how much more they charge for the 20sqm

Hi Ali. when I added my pools the taxes went up dramatically, yours seems OK. We all know it depends where you live , how big the house is, what the official is feeling like at any particular moment....

I just had a niggling doubt because on the form they sent me to fill in I had to list all the dependences and I described one of them as a 'garage' which is what we call it but actually it's just a barn where we store things although the previous owners has put an up and over garage door on the end.
