Copyright again
Had an image copyright problem 2 months ago that has now been resolved and the other party have removed my images from their website that they copied.
I have since put my website address on all my images across the middle after someone recommended to do so.
It appears that someone else had copied all these images prior to me adding the web address on my images.
I have all the original jpegs on my camera still.
My website: www.peyda-apartment.co.uk
Their website is : http://www.journey.bg/offers/offer.php?offer=13388
Anyone know what language that is ?

IMHO you would be better off not having the website name across the pictures, and taking the risk that someone pinches them. They look much better without writing across them.
People probably will take them from time to time - I come across my pictures from time to time on other sites. But does it really matter so much?
I don't take the same view with text copying - that is different because that can steal your place in the search engine results with your own words.
cheers

Ros, I'm flattered, but I cheated with Google.
Trouble with Google, there's no easy way of knowing if something is correct or not. I just joined a new listing site (snowsport thingy) on the condition that they added our village as a proper resort (which it is), and was really impressed, that they did a complete and detailed write-up within 24 hours.
Being slightly suspicious (one hotel mentioned closed 15 years ago) I Googled a sentence from their blurb and it turned up an ancient blog from a guy who lived there in the late '80s.....
Wasn't there a phone-a-friend scandal with someone Googling the answers?

Marcus, and possibly both sites get penalised for spamming. Isn't that a problem with Google's positioning logic?
If I stick our property name in as a 'phrase' in Google, there are 800-odd listings, most from listing sites, with one producing over 300 entries. I would have thought that was risky SEO, and we've tried really hard to make sure that every listing has unique text to avoid being flagged up by Google in one of its bad tempered moods.

PS
Firefox can't find the server at www.bastide-vacances.com
is the error message I'm getting.
Looks like sunset with my Firefox affair....

Hi Mountain,
Does your better half know you cheated with Google?[careful what you say the walls have ears]
I dont thinkThe scandal was Googling, I think it was coughing,
[Mind you if you had seen his wife youd have let him keep the money,]
Dont think he had the brains to cheat his was a bit wet,
but her, capable of anything[alledgedly]
If you had seen her face she wanted to strangle him
[her face looked like shed already been strangled in a previous life!.]

Yes, duplicate text penalties are applied by google, and often to the original rather than the copiers. So I would always ask / insist that someone who had stolen our text to change it. These penalties wouldn't be an issue with pictures though.
(www.bastide-vacances.com is fine in firefox at the moment, perhaps the server was down for a while. That site isn't at the company I recomended earlier! although I'll transfer it in due course)
