Drat - I had this wonderful vision of you clopping around in wooden ones!

In wet weather a potentially worse problem than muddy footprints is if the bikers dry their gear on the radiators or towel rails; you can end up with dye or muck coming off leathers and wet weather gear. We had this problem with walls behind the towel rails last year and since then we've always offered them a clothes airer if they arrive wet.

I had something )probably a t-shirt logo) welded to my lovely towel rail, despite the clothes airer. It left a lovely green smudge, which has eventually faded.
