Agencies and other headaches, keys and cleaners, running costs and contracts...in short, all the things we spend so much of our time doing behind the scenes.<br>
Guests left leaving woodburner needing cleaning so i made a deduction, in fact first deduction ever.
I would never think of charging my guests for cleaning the wood burner. This is part of the changeover in my view. It might be a little annoying but then I don’t charge extra for cleaning the cookers either. I always thought it was a damage deposit.
We fitted a woodburner for our benefit as well as for guests. It is true they very often haven't got a clue how to light and keep the stove going , even though we have an idiots guide!. The cleaning takes about 10 minutes and we would never expect a guest to clean it although it would be nice if they did !
