Had five turn up in a four bed house and took them to task immediately. I was doing an introductory walk around when I noticed so immediately challenged them. It was five lads from the military who probably hadn't expected me to be there or just thought they could take the piss.
Once challenged they offered to pay more but I wasn't having it so rang a couple of hotels nearby to get a room but it was late - 2200- and there was no availability so they were told one had to sleep in the car, although if they were to stay in the lounge I wouldn't know.
They had booked for two nights but stayed just one and we agreed they'd pay 50% for second night which suited me.
I had a family turn up prior to that with four adults but as they were leaving I noticed they also had a baby. I let that go since they'd only stayed one night.
Guest booked for 4 adults over Xmas, but 6 turned up!
From the moment they step through the door your bookings become guests, and their experiences determine whether they ever come back.
