It's about an Asian boy who is abandoned at birth in Glasgow. He grows up to be a crime correspondent and gets entwined in the story of the Ice Cream Wars of the 1980s. It twirls and twists across the years leading to a turbulent climax.
It is fiction built around the real story of why these lovely jingly ice-cream van owners started fighting.
