Just come across this forum and have been really impressed as to all the info and advice - and how friendly everyone is!
Anyway - being a "newbie" to this game and having been told various different ways is there anyone who can give me a definitive idea of what I need to do with regards to registering the business.
At the moment we run a UK based LTD company - which is fine - but I am sure I need to register something here for the rental income.....I have been told Chamber of Commerce, Chamber of Metiers, Bureau de Tourisme and Hotel des Impots - so I have duly been to see all - explained what I am doing - only to get a traditional French "shrug" and "c'est pas ici!".
So I am now no further forward.
I have applied to the Prefecture for classification - that is on going - and have a very good contact within the Regional Tourist Board so at least we should get somewhere - but I am extremely worried that I haven't registered the business legally.
We will be keeping the LTD company in the UK up and running and that will be our main business.
