Long let with dog enquiry!
My god, when I was little our family dog was a lurcher and the damage he did was mind blowing, mostly to sheep. He used to mug the gardener, who would have to be rescued at going home time after hours cornered by our deerhound cross. Oddly I can't remember any household damage but I'm sure there was some. And, how he could howl. We did use to take him on holiday with us, but he was hard work to keep out of trouble.
There are loads of greyhounds round here, we're not far from Walthamstow so a lot of people have retired ones as pets. I think they'd be close to top of my list for preferred breeds - very short coats, very gentle natured, and too big to be likely to be allowed on furniture. I'd probably go for it, with some additional rules and perhaps a larger deposit, but can see that a lot depends on the apartment and furnishings.
