Davey - I don't know - but is it possible that the law doesn't extend to swimming pools?
None of the communal pools (inc hotels etc) that I know of (and I know a lot as I work for a spanish holiday accommodation site) state that this is available.

so perhaps theres no need to worry

I haven't seen anything about the law, but I know that in our complex, last year, they had to add concrete steps with handrails. I don't see how that helps anyone who is seriously disabled, but it would help the elderly who have trouble with the pool ladders.

This year, they are having to respond to a europe-wide law on pool safety, which means that the pool needs a fence round it with self-closing self-latching gate. I wonder about the wisdom of this one as it would surely delay any passer-by from getting to the pool to help anyone in trouble!
Cheers, Ben

Thanks for the replies, I have just cancelled a property as they have reneged on disabled access, however another property I have with the same company has pools with no suitable access which I am pursuing strongly
