insuring English credit cards

Post by christina »

Has any one had this problem ?
Although I am a French resident I have kept one of my English credit cards as credit in France is not easy to get.
This has been issued to my French address and up till now I have been able to insure it through card protection.
From this April I find that because I have a french address I cannot insure it.
Has anyone found a way round this ?

I don't know the answer as I have a French credit card as part of my CB, but I rarely use it. Credit is becoming easier and easier to obtain in France, so I personally don't see the need to have a UK credit card now.

Christina,

No problem at the moment. Perhaps that will change when the insurance comes up for renewal.

Hi Christina,

Do you still have parents (or other family members) in the UK? If you feel you still need a UK credit card, could you give their UK address instead of yours in France?
