Gmail's capacity growing faster?

Has anyone else noticed that your Gmail account's storage is running away?

I've gone down from using 12% to 7% and it's now climbing past 4.5Gb available......I can't type fast enough.

17?! How long have you been using it?? One of our accounts has just been blocked, reporting a full email box, with 50Mb! (and we pay for it).

Started using it Sept 05 but only use it for email, got 2814 'conversations' in the Inbox. Do you use Picasa too? That might be filling up your blocked account?

That's interesting - I've got 5,634 (conversations? fig. top right of Gmail screen), but then boys' conversations are shorter.... :lol:

No, it isn't 'cos of Picasa. Actually the blocked email account is Waitrose (don't laugh) and the reason we got it was that their tech. help is the best in the business (nothing to do with Waitrose - they farm it out) and, best of all, on an 0800 number (during UK office hours - at night it's not so good) and we've used it for dozens of tech. enquiries nothing to do with e-mail.

I've just deleted 57 pages of Spam in gmail... :roll: I've also deleted Sent and emptied the wastebasket

This was my message before I cleaned up - You are currently using 13 MB (0%) of your 4496 MB.

Now I'm "You are currently using 0 MB (0%) of your 4496 MB." :)


BTW. I have igoogle as one of my home pages, you can add various applications such as weather, news etc. You can also add one which shows your yahoo mail too so you can see both accounts on one page!

I emptied my spam and my trash but it didn't change me from 13% used.

oh dear, I'm on 43%, I have 37,772 emails................. :oops:

Mind you I do get a lot of spam as I am a competition freak too!!

On 23/10/2007 it said :

You are currently using 595 MB (14%) of your 4270 MB

If they keep increasing the storage space faster than I add to it ................... I will be very surprised !


BTW, I've always deleted as much as possible.
