European Emergency Number 112

From the moment they step through the door your bookings become guests, and their experiences determine whether they ever come back.

Great tip, must add to our notes too! Went onto the site, but there's no mention of it working on a mobile when there's no signal. Would be helpful to have confirmation of that!

If you dial 112 in the French Alps you also get access to piste rescue services (apparently, but I've never tried it) .

Big Sis

I think you're correct on that, however I have used 112 and here in Italy it's only for the Caribinieri, for instance:

Ambulance 118
Fire Service 115
Public Emergency 113

The above numbers are listed in the beautiful magazines produced by our comune.

Until this thread was started I wasn't aware that other countries used the same number.

Thanks for the link RR;

"However, as with any other mobile phone call, a signal must be available before the call can succeed."

At my First Aid training last year we were told that 112 is a Europe wide emergency number. It will be answered in the language of the country you are in when you phone.
