Personal Avalanche Protection

Post by Wol »

You ski nerds may have already come across this, but if not, on a blog called Pruned, generally about landscape architecture, but occasionally not: http://pruned.blogspot.com/2007/11/wear ... homes.html

Will you be supplying to your guests?

Cool idea, but a bit Dragons' Den. Might give you a few minutes extra, but any avalanche worth its salt would bury you in several metres of snow and ice, having pushed you over the edge, and I don't see how it would protect you - it would just go pop.

A mate of mine runs an avalanche training school so I'll ask him next week what he thinks.
