Owners Direct

The above is coming up for renewal, how have people found them this year? I seem to remember they sold out to someone? I notice the premium has gone up from £100 to £130!!

holiday rentals, holiday lettings and owners direct have all performed equally for me if that's any help :)

Owners Direct have been very poor for me this past 6 months and I will not be renewing in September - shame as in the past 3 years they have been our main source of bookings.

It's obviously very different for everyone but they've done very well for us. Our local tourist office link is still the No. 1 convertor. OD, HL and then HR trailing behind (lots of enquiries but less quality conversions).

Cheerio.

HR were pants for 2 years. HL excellent customer service and more out of season enquiries but OD still outperform all others for me.
Don't waste energy on things you can't change.

OD are still 2nd to HR over the last year but HR has gone from bad to worse in the last 6 months - almost all scam enquiries. Most enquiries these days come from our own website and the tourist office link.

I have 2 units and OD are great value and although bookings through them are way down compared to the last 3 years they are still my No.1. I can't explain the drop off and hope it will pick up.

I'm near the end of a year with HR and won't renew.

HL. I turn on and off at different times for 3 month periods.

Spain holiday are doing well and return bookings are also very strong.

Listing sites perform well for some locations and property types, and less well for others. You need to find the ones that perform well in a given year for your location and property type. In my view the way to do that is not to ask other advertisers how a site is working for them, unless their property type and location matches yours.

I was asking a broad question to see if, broadly speaking, anyone has noticed their bookings were well down or up compared to before they were taken over.

I think it was a very valid post, I'm in my 4th year with OD and am interested to know if other people are experiencing a fall off in bookings through them, it's still worth advertising with them but they aren't head and shoulders above the rest.

Our bookings are way down with OD; good Google positioning, but so what if we're not getting the return?

I'm trying to put together annual results for HR/OD/HL, but hard work, and rather meaningless for anyone else.

OD is by far our best source for bookings (south of France). No difference from last year.

Fewer bookings than last year from OD, many more from HLings. I'm not sure the take over has made any differences to the way they operate, it may just be that there are more properties listed for my area now.
