I agree with Alifrank1 - would personally consider it a recommendation if someone mentioned an alternative property to me. It is too much of a gamble as my reputation means a lot to me and I wouldn´t want to risk it.

The very few places I do recommend are places I know well and would be very happy to stay in myself.

Unfortunatly we have two things staking up against us for such an idea.
1) we are a Casa Rural, so our clients seek something very different to an apartment or villa.
2) We are located in the North west of Spain, Galicia and we are too far away from other accommodations on LMH. This also influences what our customers seek.
Never try to out-stubborn your guests.

Big Sis,

Sometimes it’s “there” and sometimes it’s “their” and sometime it’s “they’re”.
I knew what you meant Big Sis - but then I know you are not as dippy as you make out having been beaten many atme by you at scrabble.

Now what was this thread about ?

Do you know I could have sworn I posted something here about this unkind and rather ill-advised critique of Big Sis's spelling and grammar.

Perhaps it was all just an illusion though.

Agreed. On LMH, Big Sis is as good as it gets. Her kindness, generosity and perceptive comments are the stuff of legend. The forum is a much poorer place when she's not around.

I don't see any point in arguments that have nothing to do with the thread so I deleted it.

Mario,

I've just seen this thread as I've been away on holiday with much better things to do!

We have properties in Gran Canaria.

I have to agree with everyone else, but I do think that some more Spain-specific discussion on here would be great, so I'm all in favour of building a list of the Spanish property owners on here so that we know who is who.

Things that I think we need mutual help on are:
  • Satellite TV & illegal re-transmission companies
    Horizontal law
    Wills & probate
Tourist law and dealings with the authorities
and probably a host of things I haven't thought of
Cheers, Ben
