What to do with clothes?

Post by brenda »

We are seriously considering doing a holiday swap from our villa here in Andalucia.

However, storing all our clothing will be an issue if we have to completely empty the wardrobes.

What do other people do?

We've done 5 home exchanges and all but 1 were in the owners main home and they just left space in wardrobes for us. When they visit us they normally go in the holiday cottage so wardrobes are clear. Look at www.homeforexchange.com - in fact were in Florida now on one - saves money on accommodation and car hire too!

Swap clothes as well? Are you approx. the same sizes?

The more I think about it, the better that idea gets - it could be an exciting feature of a home exchange and, of course, you just travel with a toothbrush...

Thanks!

Guests would have empty wardrobes in our usual B+B Guest Rooms and I could make space in the main house (our bedroom) wardrobe.

We couldn't travel long haul due to Hubbys health issues but Europe would be fine. This idea is getting more and more appealing.

Thanks again,

Brenda

Do house swappers look after resident animals too? In our case 5 cats and a dog.

Brenda, PM me if you fancy a mountain break in France, or a trip to beautiful Northumbria. I need an Andalucian fix again soon.

We looked after Bertil the cat in Denmark but always put our dog into kennels.
