I saw that article and got quite excited as I'd sold a property within the time restraints. I looked back over my papers though and I only ever paid the 5% that they withhold

Correction, please. All non residents were taxed at the higher rate of Capital gains tax, not only the British.

It is true that Spain runs two tear taxation system for residents & non residents.

Thats probably true Camel but I spose as it was an English paper......they were picking out the British......they dont say that they were the only ones.
Im sure all nationalities were overcharged..
